It won't be long now - Lynden and Carol will be heading for Istanbul. If all goes as planned (and, yes, I chuckled as I typed that!), we'll take the same flight from Eugene to San Francisco, and from there go our separate ways (that's what happens when you use frequent flier miles) and rendezvous again at Ataturk airport. Needless to say, we have a backup plan should either or both flights be delayed or otherwise get fouled up.
After a few days of sightseeing in Istanbul, we'll join a Rick Steves "Village Turkey" tour for the next eleven days.
